» August 2008: Manhattan Beach Six Man

First weekend in August was the Manhattan Beach Six man. This is basically a big dress up party for volleyball players and fans of the sport. There wasn't that many hammed people this year as there was last year, but there still some low key Jello shots I saw going around.

I brought a date to this thing too, only later did I find she was 'partying' like crazy. Don't bring dates.

Fer sure!!!
» July 2008: Medic Droid, Kill Hannah & Innerpartysystem

New photos: The Medic Droid, Kill Hannah, and Innerpartysystem. Check them out!

This show was pretty rad, it had a whole light show going on with lasers and so on especially during Innerpartysystem and Kill Hannah. Chris Donathan's whole 'fer sure' attitude and energy really comes out during the show. Kat Von D was there too, I was thinking "who's this chick everyone's taking a pic with!?"

Check out Kill Hannah's beats Kill Hannah - Until There's Nothing Left of Us

Innerpartysystem had the darkest set in the world, my friends I came with thought there was no drummer. Even though in some of my photos there appears to be what seems to be a drummer.

Check out their single "Don't Stop" Innerpartysystem - The Download EP - Don't Stop

» July 2008: Secret and Whisper & Dance Gavin Dance

New photos: Dance Gavin Dance, Secret and Whisper, and A Static Lullaby. Check them out!

So yeah, Secret and Whisper are pretty badass with the vox live. The singer was spot on and there really wasn't a time he went off, sounded pretty much the same as their recordings. The singer also gave one of the 'fans' the Cars record that I have on my wall. Though that person gave it to the singer of Dance Gavin Dance, which I thought kinda sucked.

Check out their music on Secret & Whisper - Great White Whale

Dance Gavin Dance was also pretty good. The live performance was similar to a hardcore show, the fans were mobbing all up on the singer at moments singing/shouting along. Good stuff.
